Established by the Presidential Memorandum on Restoring Trust in Government Through Scientific Integrity and Evidence-Based Policymaking, the Scientific Integrity Task Force was formed to conduct a thorough review of the effectiveness of Federal agency scientific-integrity policies, with the aim of ensuring a trustworthy science system to serve the American people. Launched in May 2021, the Task Force addresses short-term, high-priority actions to strengthen scientific integrity and also lays the groundwork for longer-term coordination of Federal agency scientific integrity efforts. The Task Force provides a multi-agency forum for discussion of scientific integrity issues and for facilitating improvement of policies and practices that promote scientifically informed, evidence-based decision making at the Federal level.
