Today, Arati Prabhakar, Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, Lael Brainard, National Economic Advisor, John Podesta, Senior Advisor to the President for International Climate Policy, and Heather Boushey, Chief Economist for the Invest in America Cabinet and Member of the Council of Economic Advisors met with leadership from philanthropies to discuss the importance of private-public partnership in catalyzing research and development opportunities across the country. They highlighted the Biden-Harris Administration’s efforts to spur place-based innovation through the NSF Engines Program, which recently announced investments of more than $530 million in 10 areas that will supercharge regional ecosystems, result in good-paying jobs, and drive advancements in science and technology.
