Statement from OSTP Director Prabhakar on the Passing of Former Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson

White House Office of Science and Technology Policy Director Arati Prabhakar issued the following statement on the passing of former Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson:

“I join President Biden and Vice President Harris in sending heartfelt condolences to Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson’s family and community. She was a champion for key investments in science, technology, engineering, and math education. She helped bring opportunity to every corner of the America throughout her career, especially through the CHIPS and Science Act in 2022. Congresswoman Johnson was a leader in advancing science and technology to benefit all of America, drawing us closer to achieving our nation’s great aspirations.”
