Gender Policy Council

The Gender Policy Council was established by President Biden to advance gender equity and equality in both domestic and foreign policy. It is founded on the simple but powerful belief that all people should have equal rights and opportunity, in the United States and around the world.

The results are clear. Thanks to President Biden’s and Vice President Harris’s leadership, we delivered the highest women’s labor force participation on record, made historic investments in child care, lowered health care costs, defended reproductive rights, increased and improved research on women’s health, fought to end violence against women wherever and whenever it occurs, and advanced the human rights of women and girls in the United States and around the world.
